Because of the disbelief and contempt of his hometown, Jesus was unable to perform miracles when he visited. From this passage we can learn to evaluate people properly, see Jesus for who He truly is, determine how we ourselves will respond to His miracles, and refuse to disbelieve in Jesus' Lordship and power.
