Northwest Church has a strong commitment to missions, and to that end, we support and partner with many who reflect Jesus’ heart throughout the world.

Our foundation is built upon Jesus’ command in Matthew 28 to “Go into the world and make disciples of all nations”, by teaching biblical truth, relying on the Holy Spirit’s conviction and guidance, and by serving in a variety of roles appropriate to that culture. We believe in developing in-country leaders into effective and healthy ministers of the Good News of who Jesus is and all He did for us.

We want first and foremost to be a blessing—to those we serve, the team itself, and the Church. We strive to give others an opportunity to see and experience God’s love in very tangible ways through real people, so we both send and support full-time missionaries, as well as short-term teams to expose others to Christ’s heart for the world, that all may know Him.

Please join us for General Missions Training, offered each January, March and September. This class gives an introduction to missions for Northwest Church, including our philosophy of missions, requirements to participate in our various teams, as well as prayer, spiritual warfare and cultural awareness/sensitivity. This class is a prerequisite for almost any kind of missions opportunity at NWC and ensures that we reflect Christ in our actions to those we serve. Once you have completed these four classes, you may apply for any of our mission teams. The training consists of two classes of 3 hours each that will provide the basic information you need.

Preregistration for the General Missions Training is not needed but you must be on time and sign in before the class starts. Childcare will not be available.  For any questions, please contact Susanne at ext. 229 or susanne@nwcfoursquare.org.
