Short term mission trip to thailand

For years NWC has been partnering with Paula & Gary Hays and their thinkSMALL organization in Thailand. In January we are sending a team of eight people to Bangkok to work with thinkSMALL teams by encouraging them through intercession and by observing how thinkSMALL is reaching hundreds of thousands of children with the gospel by first teaching them a curriculum of recognizing signs of abuse to protect themselves from sex-trafficking and drug abuse.

Dates: January 26th - February 6th, 2019

More Information: thinkSMALL website

How to support the team:

  • Prayer (bookmarks will be available the weekend of January 19/20)
  • Financial Gifts (make check out to NWC and put "Thailand Mission" in the memo line, or give online by clicking here).

Each summer, we are blessed to be able to pass on some of the gifts we’ve received as a church, by adopting another local Foursquare church in our area (Washington/Oregon/Idaho). During a week of the summer, men, women, young adults, and children of all skills join together to do an Extreme Makeover-style remodel together. These trips are an incredible way to serve together for the benefit of others. These trips build us into a close community, too—whole families remain close through the training process and long afterward!

Who can join: Skilled laborers in every area are welcome, but we always welcome those simply willing to serve anywhere they are asked! Garden? Cook? Paint? Re-wire? We definitely need you! Families are more than welcome to come—children as young as 5 often participate.

Please note: This is a missions team! Applications and training will be required.

NWC and other Foursquare churches in the Northwest District partner to send a medical evangelism teams to far away places like Benin and Myanmar. We minister in partnership with the Foursquare churches there, bringing medical care and sharing the love of Jesus. God is at work and it is such a privilege to join in what He is doing there.

We need doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, chiropractors and other health workers. We need at least half of the team to be workers who do not have a medical background and have a heart for the lost. This is an evangelistic work.

We are asking that you send us a note of interest if God stirs your heart as you read this and pray about joining the team. The cost of theses trips will be approximately $3500, which includes airfare and all expenses from the time you leave SeaTac until you return.

Prerequisites: General Missions Training is required.

Teen Reach Adventure Camp, or T.R.A.C., is an innovative program offering 3-day, gender-specific, overnight camps for at-risk youth ages 12-15 who are or have been in the foster system.  Working in cooperation with the local county social services and foster care agencies, these camps can make a lasting impact in the lives of at-risk youth in our area.

These camps are specifically designed to create an environment where at-risk youth have many opportunities to succeed.  The youth participate in low-level challenge courses that help rebuild trust and teach the importance of self-respect, teamwork, and communication while having fun.  Campers also have the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of sports, crafts and activities.  Through quality time, we encourage each teen to leave camp with hope for a future.

Northwest Church General Missions Training is required for staff members.

For more information about T.R.A.C. and how to apply as staff, please click here.

The purpose of Royal Family KIDS Camp is to mobilize the Church to confront abuse and neglect by providing a week of positive, life-changing memories for children in South King and Pierce County. These children are referred to us through DSHS (Department of Social and Health Services). To provide the close 1:2 ratio of counselors to campers, we need men and women to serve in a variety of roles, including staff and counselors.

As a loving counselor or support staff member, you will have the opportunity to help create positive memories, play games, sing fun songs, go swimming, boating, or fishing, as well as create lots of arts and crafts. You will not only be blessing a child's heart but you will be blessed as well. Come be part of our family at Royal Family KIDS Camp!

If you have questions about this ministry, please contact Susanne at ext. 239 or email

General Missions Training and Northwest Church membership is required.
