local and global missions

Northwest Church is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by taking the message and mission of Jesus to the people in our community, nation, and around the world. We do this by sending and supporting both long-term missionaries and short-term teams, who teach biblical truth, rely on the Holy Spirit’s conviction and guidance, and serve in a variety of roles appropriate to that culture.

General Missions Training is held three times a year and is a requirement for anyone who wants to serve in most areas of missions and outreach at Northwest Church. Completion of this one day training (three hours) ensures that everyone on a team is prepared to reflect Christ in their words and actions to those they serve.

General Missions Training includes our philosophy of missions and the requirements for participation, as well as an overview on prayer, spiritual warfare, and cultural sensitivity. Once you have completed training, you may apply to serve on any of our mission teams.

This one day training will be offered on the following days:

  • Sunday, February 9, 2020                                   2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 7, 2020                                     9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 18, 2020                                        1 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
