Life Groups are like a Highway in your life. You may take a break, take a class such as OSL, go to a recovery group or do a short-term mission trip, but you can always take the “on ramp” back to your Life Group. The highway of life may lead us into valleys, on through the desert, by green pastures or up the mountain top–it’s the fellowship with other believers, their words of encouragement and prayers and that supports us along the way. Don’t wait, join a Life Group today!
We have life groups for people from all walks of life. Some focus on newlyweds, young families, young adults and even baby boomers or empty nesters, while others focus on discussing the sermon notes or a bible study. God created us for community and here at NWC we believe that being part of a Life Group gives people the connections that are often lacking in a large congregation. At the heart of Life Groups is for people to connect with each other through fellowship and sharing a meal together. We naturally connect with people that we have something in common with, be it our faith, the stage of life that we are in, or interests that we share. Your fellow Life Groupers will become like family!
“Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.”
Discipleship in Life Group happens by studying the Word together, encouraging each other through prayer and ministering to each other in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. As we teach each other how to live lives that are set apart for Jesus, we become more like Jesus and we are changed!
"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."
2 Timothy 3:16
Our heart is that Life Groups not only fellowship and pray together, but that they minister and serve together outside of their Life Group meetings. Cultivating missional lives means that we serve others and share our faith! Missional living means that we are focused on the mission of loving those outside of our community as Jesus loves them.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Son, the Father, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.”
