Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry consists of ordinary Christians passing on God's love and care to people facing tough times. We have a whole team of trained and skilled caregivers who are equipped to bring Christ's healing love to people who are grieving, in crisis, or experiencing other stresses in life. If you are in need of some extra special care in your life right now, contact Pastor Craig McCann at ext. 205 or email him at After you call, an appointment will be made with a referral coordinator, who will explain more about the program and match you with a Stephen Minister.

Get Prayer

Weekends | During weekend worship time, we open up the front area for those who would like to receive prayer. After service we have team members who are available to pray with you at the front of the sanctuary.

Healing & Deliverance Prayer | Our main prayer meeting gathers in the chapel on Wednesdays at 7:00pm. You may also join us at our Wednesday prayer meeting if you are seeking the baptism with the Holy Spirit.

We will pray with you and see what the Lord will release in your life.

Emergency Prayer Requests | Call the church and leave your emergency prayer request on ext. 222.

Non-Emergency Prayer Requests | Call the church office and ask for a pastor or complete the yellow welcome card in your weekly bulletin and take it to the info desk or send us an email.

Pastoral Care

Relationship & Family Difficulties | We all encounter tough seasons—family/marriage difficulties, times of loss & grief, job crisis—where we need someone to come alongside us to offer help. At Northwest Church we have a variety of ways you can receive personal care (from the staff pastors to volunteer pastoral leaders, including Stephen Ministers). Call the front office for more information.

Divorce Care | Find help and healing for the hurt of separation and divorce. Don’t go through separation or divorce alone. DivorceCare groups are led by people who understand what you're going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable resources to help you deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life. Contact Pastor Craig McCann at ext. 205 or

GriefShare | Have you lost a loved one and feel like you’re having difficulty returning to “normal life?” This class/support group helps you understand your losses and gives you a Biblical perspective on how to work through the grief process. You will also receive support and encouragement from other church members who are going through similar situations. Questions? Contact Pat Farnand here for more info.

Widows WalkWidows Walk is a support community for widows, by widows. You do not have to navigate through the grief of loss and finding hope for the future alone. Meet others who are also walking this path while you receive support, fellowship, and practical resources. If you would like to learn more, contact

Truth & Grace | There are thousands of people who are walking away from homosexuality, gender confusion, and other broken sexual identities. They are learning to trust and depend on Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit to provide healing and wholeness. Is the Lord drawing you to a similar journey? Click here to learn more.
